Our challenge: to deliver extraordinary sound from a slim bar. Our secret: newly developed, custom eye-shaped speaker drivers. By optimizing the shape, structure and magnetic circuitry of the primary front drivers, we greatly improved cone strength and high-frequency clarity. The result — clear, lifelike sound without acoustic interference, from a sleek form factor that perfectly complements your TV and décor.
Over twenty years ago, we re-invented home theater with the YSP-1 sound bar and we’ve been refining its unique sound beam technology ever since. In this latest model, we employed a Yamaha YDA-141 high-performance amplifier with twelve (six per side) ultra-precise DSP-controlled beam speakers to produce phenomenal height channel effects. With realistic Dolby Atmos® playback, the Bar 90A delivers an amazing sound field that surpasses conventional sound bars.
The subwoofer of this system employs Symmetrical Flare Port® technology, newly developed through meticulous Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements—delivering powerful, deeply resonant bass. The symmetrical horizontal/vertical port structure ensures extremely smooth release of the strong air flow generated during bass reproduction. As a result, port noise has been reduced by 20 dB compared to conventional models, enabling pure bass reproduction that is both powerful and deep.
