The new Yamaha YHC-3000 headphone is a premium, closed-back headphone feature our newly developed Armodynamic™ drivers and beech wood housings crafted using the same techniques employed in the making of our musical instruments. Engineered by skilled craftsmen, the elegant wooden housings resemble fine musical instruments in both form and spirit. Paired with our newly developed Armodynamic driver－over a decade in the making－these elements create a rich and open sound. The YH-C3000 is a high-end, closed-back headphone only a musical instrument brand like Yamaha could create, providing a listening experience where you become profoundly and purely immersed in the music.
The YH-C3000 delivers a realistic, precisely accurate tone that allows you to enjoy every nuance and detail in the sound: the breath of vocals, the emotional power in singing, the delicate plucking sounds of stringed instruments. Above all, the YH-C3000 shines in reproducing True Sound in live music. Everything from the exciting dynamics of the artist/audience interactions to the energy of the performance—no matter how slight or subtle—comes through perfectly, powerfully and profoundly.
The Armodynamic driver was newly developed specifically for the YH-C3000. The driver utilizes a unique diaphragm molded into a three-layer structure featuring composite materials such as paper and resin, and includes ZYLON, the same material also used in diaphragms of our Hi-Fi flagship speakers. By harmonizing the important elements for a diaphragm, such as light weight, rigidity and optimal internal loss, the driver achieves exceptionally smooth sound with high resolution and fast response.
The wooden housing of the YH-C3000 is made of premium-quality beech, which is also employed in Yamaha grand pianos. Being light in weight and highly rigid — with a natural and uncoloured sound — beech wood fully maximizes the strength of the Armodynamic driver, contributing to its excellent sound resolution and speedy response.
