The new Cayin iDAP-8 features an advanced Android-based digital music streamer design. This powerful device allows you to access and play music from multiple sources such as WiFi, Bluetooth, hard drives, USB and SD cards, offering superior functionality over traditional transmitters.
Connect to your NAS storage and effortlessly access your music library. Thanks to its SATA 3.0 interface, the iDAP-8 supports hard drives or SSDs up to 4TB, facilitating smooth playback of your local collection through various music applications.
The iDAP-8 not only supports music files on its internal storage, but also on external media such as SD cards, USB, and external hard drives, providing total versatility in how and where you enjoy your music.
Equipped with dual-band WiFi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Gigabit Ethernet, the iDAP-8 offers stable and fast connections. It supports digital connections such as i2S (HDMI), USB DAC (USB-A), and multiple S/PDIF formats for seamless integration with your audio system.
This device includes Accusilicon femtosecond oscillators that guarantee ultra-low phase noise, minimising jitter and digital artefacts. A 45 W toroidal transformer with high-purity copper wire and specialised shielding ensures reduced magnetic interference and optimum circuit protection.
The iDAP-8 stands out with a 5" FHD TFT multi-touch screen that displays text and graphics clearly. Its ergonomic design with 59° screen tilt enhances visibility and interaction, complemented by control options such as physical buttons, HiByCast screen mirroring and BLE universal remote control.
As part of Cayin's i-Series, the iDAP-8 integrates seamlessly with devices such as the iDAC-8 converter and iHA-8 amplifier. Its compact and robust design with an aluminium cover plate and side panels designed as heat sinks ensures durability and efficient heat dissipation.
