Using simulation and analysis tools KEF’s engineers have been able to dramatically reduce colouration by cutting resonance in the tiny gaps between Uni-Q’s elements. The result is purer and more precise sound with stronger imaging.
The new Kef R5 Meta is compact, lim, elegant, but it is more than capable of delivering highly detailed sound and deep, clean bass. It boasts the 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array with MAT™ and two 5.25” hybrid aluminium bass drivers. It can work as a stereo pair or as surround speakers as part of an ultimate R Series home theatre system.
The R Series is a direct beneficiary of the technological innovations developed for The Reference, the class-leading series that continually set the benchmark for loudspeakers and sound reproduction. Combining with bespoke technologies, the R Series delivers an exceptional acoustic performance. The revolutionary Metamaterial Absorption Technology1 (MATTM) has been incorporated into the latest iteration of the R Series, and the 12th generation Uni-Q® driver array has been refined to maximise the impact of this technological advance and ensure the best possible performance.
