Description
The new Cayin HA-6A MK2 keeps the musicality of the original 6A and adds a dedicated outboard power supply for an even blacker background, plus a new pre-out so it can moonlight as a tube preamp in your main rig.
Dual-chassis design: separate amplifier and power-supply enclosures minimize magnetic interference and lower the noise floor. Hand-wired, point-to-point signal path.
Two operating modes: Triode (silky, organic) or Ultralinear (more drive and control) at the flip of a front-panel switch.
Broad tube compatibility: ships with Genalex KT88 power tubes and supports 6550, KT66, KT150 and others; input/rectifier stages use ECC82/12AU7 and GZ34/5AR4. Easy rolling for fine-tuning.
Versatile I/O: balanced XLR and RCA inputs; headphone outputs on 4-pin XLR, 4.4 mm, and 6.35 mm; plus RCA pre-out to use as a tube preamp.
Power on tap: up to 4.5 W/ch (4-pin XLR, UL), with selectable Low/Mid/High impedance matching (8–600 Ω), making it at home with both efficient dynamics and current-hungry planars. SNR 104 dB (A-weighted) keeps hiss at bay.
