The new Cayin N8iii Portable Music Player is a flagship reference digital audio player that is designed for listeners who refuse to compromise on sound, even on the go. Powered by a 6th Generation Nutube 6P1 vacuum tube circuit, a flagship AKM DAC architecture, Triple Timbre tuning, and Hyper Mode for ultimate performance, the N8iii brings together technical innovation, refined craftsmanship, and the unmistakable musicality of Cayin.

The Cayin N8iii features the carefully selected KORG Nutube 6P1 dual Directly Heated Triode (DHT), precision matched by hand. The four-channel tube timbre circuit delivers rich and consistent acoustic performance. Built on Cayin's classic three-stage amp circuit, the design ensures optimal signal integrity and dynamic swing.

Classic Tube Timbre: Exhibits a classic vacuum tube amplifier with relatively more thermal noise but richer and lusher presentation.

Modern Tube Timbre: The harmonic distortion characteristics and sound signature lean more towards a modern style, with greatly reduced thermal noise and cleaner tube sound.

Solid-State Timbre Circuit: Provides a neutral, transparent and highly detailed sound.

The N8iii features a  four-layer protection system reduces microphonic and absorbs stray electromagnetic interference.

The N8iii introduces Class A+, Class A, and Class AB modes. Three selectable amplification modes with instant switching. Effortlessly adapt to different sound signatures and listening preferences. 

Class A+ mode improves micro-detail retrieval and low-level resolution. It delivers smoother dynamics, tighter bass control, and a more immersive soundstage. Class A delivers refined presentation, while Class AB is efficient and powerful in presentation.

DUAL VOLTAGE, DUAL POWER OUTPUT

Fully discrete amplification stages with switchable operating voltage. Easily toggle between Standard Power (P) and High Power (P+) modes. High Power mode delivers increased output capability and improved control.

Hyper Mode simultaneously engages P+ High Power and Class A+ amplification, unlocking the system's maximum performance. It boasts a more expansive soundstage and enhanced dynamic impact.

Built on a classic three-stage amplification architecture, the fully discrete 4-channel balanced design ensures precise channel separation and superior signal integrity. With independent amplification paths and enhanced current delivery, the circuit maintains better control over different impedance loads.

N8iii adopts AKM's latest flagship DAC solution, featuring (2x) AK4191EQ + (4x) AK4499EX. A fully discrete left/right channel builds independent DAC systems per channel. Operating in mono mode, the system achieves fully parallel balanced current output, significantly enhancing dynamic performance and overall resolution.

A dedicated analog potentiometer serves as position encoder, paired with dual JRC MUSES72320V high-end electronic volume controllers. It implements fully balanced, 4-channel hardware-level volume and gain control, with end-to-end balanced signal transmission and amplification.
