The new Luxman D-03R features ROHM’s BD34352EKV DAC chips in a dual-mono configuration. The same chips as the D-07X and D-10X. This player also offers a wide range of digital inputs, allowing connections to a PC or network transport such as the NT-07. The DAC processors support data rates of up to 384kHz/32bit for PCM and 22.5MHz for DSD signals via the USB input, and up to 192kHz/24bit for PCM data via the COAX/OPT input, providing a powerful digital-to-analog conversion environment.

The new D-03R's refined analog circuitry utilizes fully balanced I/V conversion to handle the differential outputs of the DAC chips. The unit also features a finely tuned output amplifier block, enhanced with LUXMAN’s custom components, delivering a powerful drive output to subsequent hi-fi components. This is evidenced in the excellent sound quality inherited from our higher-end D-10X and D-07X models.

The D-03R features a robust 29 pound chassis structure that minimizes vibrations, supporting accurate disc reading and playback. The D-03R also incorporates a highly stable power supply system with independent circuit power regulation and large-value filter capacitors dedicated to each of the mechanical, digital, and analog systems.

The D-03R's exterior design combines intuitive controls with a newly adopted, large OLED display for excellent visibility. The front panel features a sleek, square-edged front panel in an elegant Blasted White finish, creating a simple yet elegant aesthetic that enhancesany listening space.

The new Luxman D-03R is a state-of-the-art digital media player that has been designed to preserve the value of listeners CD collections with superb sound quality, while also supporting high-resolution audio source inputs, including the latest streaming services.

Features:

- Equipped with a dedicated single-laser drive optimized for CD playback, ensuring responsive operation as a simple, long-lasting engineering piece.

- Features an asymmetric left-side mechanical layout, positioning the drive mechanism, digital and analog circuitry in optimal locations to allow for optimal signal flow, vibration control, and weight balance.

- A rigid box structure encloses the entire mechanism, incorporating a top plate and a newly adopted 3.2mm ultra-thick steel plate mounting base to isolate external vibrations and enable high-precision, stable digital signal reading.

- Utilizes ROHM BD34352EKV DAC chips in a dual-mono configuration for high-quality digital-to-analog conversion.

- Supports PCM 384kHz/32bit and DSD 22.5MHz via USB input, and PCM 192kHz/24bit, DoP (DSD) 2.8MHz via COAX/OPT input.

- Includes a full MQA decoder, supporting MQA format playback across all inputs (MQA-CD, USB, COAX, OPT) with a bypass function.

- Features a high-precision, ultra-low phase noise clock module, reducing noise around oscillation frequencies for improved sound quality.

- Offers a selectable filter function, allowing users to customize the sound (PCM: two digital filter modes when MQA bypass is active, DSD: two analog FIR filter modes).

- Implements various jitter reduction features optimized per input (USB: asynchronous transmission via dedicated DSP, COAX/OPT: high-precision clock via built-in DAIR).

- Features fully balanced buffer circuitry (four identical amplifier units) that cleanly drives the differential outputs from the dual mono-mode DACs.

- Adopts a highly stable power supply, incorporating a large power transformer, independent regulators for each circuit and large value filter capacitors

(DAC circuit capacitor capacity doubled from 3,300µF to 6,600µF) for stable, high-quality power delivery.

- Uses smoothly rounded-pattern PCB traces to ensure smooth current transmission while preserving the integrity of delicate audio signals.

- Employs OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) non plated internal wiring to enhance natural signal transmission.
