Description

Parasound's HALO P6 preamplifier is a truly full featured high-end audio preamplifier with the latest High Resolution DAC build in. Voices feel present, bass blends cleanly with your sub, and streaming loses the edge that keeps you from turning it up. Long sessions get easier, and every source just sounds more like music. The P6 Preamp is designed by John Curl, the person who designed the first High-End Mark Levinson JC preamps which Pat sold in 1974. Since then, John Curl with Walter Jung, had built a tremendous data base on what and how each manufacturers’ electronic component sounds like. From by-pass caps to resistors to power supply capacitors, the widest spectrum of electronic components were carefully listened to and tested. These hand-picked components is what is found inside the Parasound P6 preamplifier.

Designed as a true 2.1channel control center, the P6 adds the pieces most systems are missing: an ESS Sabre32 Reference DAC (ES9018K2M) with USB up to 384 kHz/32bit and native DSD64/128/256, coax/optical 192/24, fully analog bass management with independent highpass/lowpass crossovers and frontpanel sub level, MM/MC/MI phono (100 Ω or 47 kΩ), balanced XLR input, balanced & RCA preouts, plus XLR + dual RCA sub outs. It also uses a resistorladder volume control for fine, lownoise steps, includes a highcurrent TI TPA6120 headphone amp, and offers Home Theater Bypass for seamless 2channel + surround integration.
