The new Cabasse Murano bookshelf speaker benefits from many innovations developed for the reference speaker La Sphère, such as the coaxial midrange-tweeter and the special technologies of the woofer. Its concave honeycomb cone and powerful long-stroke drive provide deep, precise bass response. With its peak power handling of 1,000 watts, a stereo pair of the Murano has an easy time with any kind of music, quiet or high level, whether in small or large rooms. Murano, top quality from France.

The Murano features the BC13 Coaxial driver and guarantees an exceptionally neutral tonal balance without any listening fatigue, providing a three-dimensional, incredibly realistic spatial imaging. The chassis has been equipped with a new waveguide made of aluminum, specially designed to combine with the woofer of the Murano and its angular dispersion.

The new 17ND36 woofer driver was developed specifically for the Murano. In order to generate a rich, yet tight and fast bass from a compact cabinet, Cabasse’s designers miniaturized the concept of the La Sphre’s 55-centimeter woofer. The concave honeycomb diaphragm provides high stiffness and internal damping, allowing large excursions without deformation. The 17ND36 has a long voice coil that dips into the air gap with a depth of 45 millimeters. The magnet, which weighs 4 kilograms, completes the woofer and finally ensures the outstanding precision of the Murano in the bass range.

At Cabasse, not only the frequency response on the listening axis is measured in the relexion-dead measuring room, but the entire omnidirectional response in the 360° angle is used to tune the crossover. These crossovers, based on the HDSE principle (Homogeneous Distribution of the Sonic Energy), give Cabasse perfect control over omnidirectional sound and the total sound power emitted. As a result, direct and reflected sound always remain homogeneous, and room imaging is broad and stable.
