At the heart of the new D1 lies a world-first innovation — the Thin-Ply Carbon Diaphragm (TPCD) — an advanced composite material originally developed for extreme engineering applications, from Formula 1 racing to NASA’s Mars helicopter Ingenuity. In the D1, this technology becomes a new benchmark for speed, control, and transparency.
The new D1 draws from over forty years of professional studio experience, HEDD Audio re-engineered the core of the dynamic driver itself. The D1 achieves the precision and neutrality of a studio monitor while maintaining the warmth and fluidity that make listening deeply engaging. Despite its advanced driver design, the HEDDphone® D1 weighs only 350 grams. Every component — from the headband to the perforated velour earpads — has been designed for stability, even weight distribution, and lasting comfort. The new D1 features a 32 Ω impedance and 100 dB sensitivity. It pairs beautifully with both portable players and dedicated desktop amplifiers.
