Ophidian Audio's Ffion aims to combine the best of both worlds. Small speakers are well known to produce excellent stereo imaging by virtue of their compact size. The less box, the more the speaker fades into the background and instruments and voices are brought to life as if in the room. Even the best small speakers however are dynamically limited as compared to floorstanders. 

A sleekly tapered cabinet design allows FFION to fit a powerful 8” drive unit discretely in the base while the slim upper cabinet produces an enhanced soundstage with imaging characteristic of a much smaller speaker. Our hallmark Aeroflex bass technology enables the powerful bass driver to breathe freely and produce room filling, accurate and dynamic low frequencies whether you’re listening at low or high volumes. A huge port system extends all the way from the top of the cabinet to the bottom producing a system free from chuffing and distortion and increasing dynamic performance substantially.
