Shanling's M5 Ultra introduces a bold design, abandoning smooth, rounded lines in favor of more angular shapes and sharper edges. Powered by the Ingenic X2000 platform, the M5 Ultra utilizes our latest MTouch system. The customizable main menu provides quick access to all files stored on the MicroSD card, in addition to the built-in Tidal Online Streaming app (available via firmware update). It also offers a wide range of playback modes, including USB DAC, DLNA, Airplay, and Bluetooth Receiver, now updated with a new wireless module for Bluetooth 5.2 support.

Its construction meets our high standards, with a machined aluminum frame and glass panels, a bright 4.7-inch HD touchscreen, a series of hardware buttons for playback control, and our classic volume wheel, now with additional lighting. On the audio side, the M5 Ultra combines the strengths of the H7 and M9 Plus. It incorporates a balanced amplifier based on the Texas Instruments TPA6120A2 and the AKM AK4499EX DAC paired with the AK4191 modulator, with the improved I/V conversion stage of the M9 Plus. This combination delivers our signature smooth and slightly warmed sound that delves deep into the sub-bass, enveloping you in a rich and detailed soundstage. Thanks to its reinforced amplifier, capable of delivering up to 1100 mW @ 32 Ohm, the M5 Ultra ranks among our most powerful portable players, alongside the flagship M9 Plus.
