The new iDSD PHANTOM features four Burr-Brown DACs in a hybrid multi-bit configuration. Drawing inspiration from our long-standing experience with the legendary multi-bit Philips TDA1541A.
First introduced in the Pro iDSD, this interleaved design captures the magic and impact of the iconic multi-bit chipset, but with superior low-level linearity for breathtaking detail.
Beneath its exterior of the new iDSD Phantom lies professional-grade technologies that compel the listener to become the master of their music: DSD Remastering up to DSD2048 and K2HD technology offer a level of sonic control unattainable outside of the world's finest mastering studios. XBass Pro, XSpace Pro, digital filters and real-time circuitry switching act as the final brushstrokes on your sonic canvas.
The new iDSD PHANTOM features a new Remastering Engine that brings studio-grade up conversion to your home - now, for the first time, reaching the unprecedented clarity of DSD2048.
In Normal mode, native DSD signals pass directly to the DAC while PCM signals go through a user-selected digital filter. Switch to Remastered mode for up conversion to DSD512, DSD1024, or the new pinnacle - DSD2048. DSD Remastering deepens resolution and minimizes distortion, unlocking the level of fidelity once reserved for the world's most prestigious mastering suites.

The iDSD Phantom features iFi's ultra-res 768kHz/DSD512 streaming engine, based around a new OS, meaning expanded native support, including Qobuz Connect, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Airplay 2, Roon, DLNA and UPnP. This evolution also brings enhanced stability, smoother radio performance, and a more intuitive UI with deeper customization. With the new and updated Nexis app, it’s now easier than ever to connect and queue music from anywhere in your home.
The Phantom delivers monumental amplification, rivaling flagship headphone amps, to unlock the full dynamic range of the most demanding headphones.
The S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and Ethernet inputs are galvanically isolated, meaning there is physical separation between the source device and Phantom. This isolation eliminates electrical noise and digital distortion.
JVCKENWOOD's K2HD Technology restores the depth, nuance, and musicality of the original performance by reintroducing harmonic content lost during the production process.
XBass Pro is iFi's analog variable shelving EQ that boosts low frequencies without clouding the midrange.
XSpace Pro is iFi's advanced evolution of cross feed technology that simulates the spaciousness of speaker playback while preserving clarity and detail.
With the new iDSD Phantom you choose can between three distinct sonic characters, each a different way to disappear into the music.
