The new LAiV GaNM mono block power amplifiers feature state of the art performance. They incorporate gallium nitride (GaN) transistors for 200W of amplification at 8Ω per block, offering uncompromising sound quality. The meticulous attention paid to every aspect of the Harmony GaNM, from its ultra-low-noise power supply to its refined design and signal-processing architecture, makes it the ideal choice for the audiophile demanding a perfect marriage of exceptional sonic performance and elegant aesthetics.
The GaNM features GaN Systems technology, using gallium nitride (GaN) transistors for remarkable speed, efficiency and sonic purity, delivering 200W of amplification per mono block. Unlike traditional silicon transistors, GaN transistors switch faster, with significantly reduced energy loss and distortion. This enables the amplifier to react to signals with superior agility, resulting in a dynamic, transparent sound, free from the limitations of conventional power stages. The adoption of GaN technology enables sharper transient responses, deeper bass and increased richness of detail, particularly in low-level passages. Improved energy efficiency also reduces thermal stress, enabling a more compact chassis design without sacrificing power or performance.
The GaNM features an ultra-low-noise power stage is precision-engineered using the advanced NXP TEA2017AAT controller. This intelligent chip integrates power factor correction (PFC) and LLC resonant topology into a compact package, reducing the number of external components and ensuring cleaner, more efficient power conversion. The result is a stable, precise power supply, the foundation of the Harmony GaNM's outstanding sonic performance. To ensure maximum efficiency and reliability, the power supply features top-of-the-range components such as Infineon's CoolSiC™ silicon carbide MOSFETs, known for their high switching efficiency, low on-resistance and long life. They are complemented by Rubycon electrolytic capacitors, chosen for their excellent temperature stability and longevity. Together, these components provide a perfectly stable output voltage and current, which is essential for maintaining very low noise levels and minimizing signal interference.
The GaNM features a balanced architecture for optimum sound quality. In each block, the input and output stages operate in phase, with completely isolated signal paths for positive and negative polarities. This design enables effective cancellation of phase noise, resulting in an ultra-clean signal with extended dynamic range and considerably reduced distortion.
The GaNM features ease of use without compromising audiophile performance. On the front, a clear OLED display shows real-time information, while subtle LED indicators identify left and right blocks. On the rear, a 12V trigger input and output facilitate integration with other system components. Every detail, from visual feedback to system control, is designed for an intuitive, modern and refined user experience.
